On April 25, 2005, BTSIETC was reorganized from the former China Metallurgical Import & Export Baotou Steel Co., Ltd., which had been founded in 1987 and a state-owned independent legal entity integrating industry, trade and technology registered by the government. BTSIETC is an exclusively-invested subsidiary of Baotou Steel Group.
BTSIETC is making efforts in exploring new steel products exports by taking full advantages of the scientific research, metallurgical construction, equipment, technology, labor services as well as abundant steel and rare earth resources of Baotou Steel Group-affiliated enterprises.
